India reports 10,197 new COVID-19 cases

NEW DELHI: NOV. 17 – India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 34,466,598 on Wednesday, as 10,197 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry’s latest data.

Besides, as many as 301 deaths were recorded since Tuesday morning, taking the death toll to 464,153.

Currently, there are 128,555 active cases in the country, with a decrease of 2,238 during the past 24 hours. “India’s active caseload is lowest in 527 days,” said the federal health ministry.

A total of 33,873,890 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals so far, with 12,134 new recoveries.
