IME honored as top taxpayer on National Tax Day 2082

KATHMANDU: IME Limited, one of the leading companies in remittance and money transfer services, has been recognized as the top taxpayer in its sector.
On the occasion of National Tax Day 2082, Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal presented the honor to IME Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Diawkar Paudel, at a special ceremony held in Kathmandu on Monday.
Speaking after receiving the award, CEO Paudel said that contributing significantly to national development through substantial tax payments is a matter of pride for IME.
Paudel also highlighted IME’s commitment to making remittance services simpler, safer, and more convenient, while further strengthening the company’s brand presence in both national and international markets.
IME currently operates with over 100 business partner networks across various countries.
Addressing the ceremony, IME’s Founder and Chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, urged the government to prioritize security alongside taxpayer recognition.
Established in 2001, IME Limited has played a leading role in institutionalizing Nepal’s foreign currency inflow and continues to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
