Haaland hits 300 as Man City thrash Juventus 5-2

KATHMANDU: Manchester City delivered a dominant performance to defeat Juventus 5-2 in the Club World Cup, with Erling Haaland marking the occasion by netting his 300th career goal.

The result ensured City finished top of Group G with a perfect record.

City took an early lead in just the 10th minute when Jeremy Doku converted a pass from Rayan Aït-Nouri.

However, Juventus quickly responded after a poor pass from goalkeeper Ederson allowed Teun Koopmeiners to pounce and equalize.

In the 26th minute, City regained the lead through an own goal by French defender Pierre Kalulu, who accidentally turned Matheus Nunes’ cross into his own net.
