Presenting the budget at a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said that 65% of the population will have access to safe water within three years, with full coverage targeted by the fifth year.

He also announced plans to ensure 24-hour clean water supply through a smart distribution system.

In the health sector, the government will launch air ambulance services in remote areas of Karnali Province to improve emergency medical access.

The budget further includes a twofold increase in night duty allowances for nursing staff and a 50% rise in transport allowances for female community health volunteers.
