KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged the Nepal Police to take strict action against those involved in looting, vandalism, and arson of industries, businesses, and private properties during the Gen Z  movement.

A delegation of FNCCI officials, led by President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, met with Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki to convey their concerns and request formal complaints be filed against the perpetrators.

Dhakal emphasized that failure to take action would foster a culture of impunity, discourage entrepreneurs, and undermine the morale of the private sector.

He warned that such negligence could negatively impact economic activity and create a risk of similar incidents in the future.

FNCCI Vice Chair Shekhar Golchha highlighted that security is the foremost condition for investment.

He stated that without assurances of peace and safety, economic activities and investment would face serious setbacks.
