Dengue cases on rise in Sudurpashim since mid-May
The State so far reports 162 cases of dengue.
KATHMANDU: Dengue fever infection has spread in the Sudurpaschim State districts since the past four months.
According to the Sudurpaschim State Health Directorate, the infection is on the rise since mid-May.

“Now, the infection has been detected in the hilly districts as well,” Directorate program focal person Hemraj Joshi.
The State Government and the Directorate are facilitating the medical team deputed for the containment of the infection.
According to the Directorate, so far Kailali have 41 cases of dengue followed by 33 in Darchula, 32 in Kanchanpur, 14 in Doti, seven in Achham, nine each in Dadeldhura and Baitadi, and eight each in Bajhang and Bajura. The figure may be high than of the record.
The Directorate insists on the role of the public for the control of dengue infection.
They need to contribute for building an adverse atmosphere for mosquito breeding. He said the infection wave will slow down after mid-October.
