NEW DELHI: NOV. 5 – Two people were killed and one was injured in a blast inside an idol-making factory in the southern Indian state of Telangana, officials said Friday.

The blast took place in Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana.

“Late last night in the old part of Hyderabad’s Kandikal Gate, a blast took place inside the idol-making factory when the workers were bursting firecrackers during Diwali celebrations,” a police official said.

“In the blast, two people were killed while one was injured critically, and he has been admitted in the hospital,” said the official.

According to police, the deceased were from West Bengal while the injured person was from Uttar Pradesh.

Following the blast police and the fire service teams rushed to the spot.
