At least 40 missing in boat accident Congo

KINSHASA: NOV. 12 – At least 40 people have gone missing in a boat accident in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The boat capsized in the country’s Kivu province on Thursday morning, officials said.

Fifty-seven people have been rescued alive and eight bodies have been recovered from the spot.

There were 120 passengers on the boat. The search for the missing is underway, officials said.
