The ministers described the move as a clear violation of international law.
KATHMANDU: Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates have issued a joint statement strongly condemning Israel’s recent approval of more than 30 new settlements.
The ministers described the move as a clear violation of international law.
They also condemned rising settler violence against Palestinian schools and children, warning that such actions are undermining efforts toward a two-state solution and broader peace initiatives.
In addition, the statement denounced repeated incursions by settlers and extremist ministers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of Israeli police.
The foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
