6 killed in firing in northeastern India

AGENCY: DEC. 5 – On Sunday, the state’s Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, announced that at least six persons were murdered and numerous more were injured in a shooting incident in India’s northeastern state of Nagaland.

According to media accounts, the tragedy occurred late Saturday night in the state’s Mon area, and the death toll is expected to grow.

“The tragic occurrence that resulted in the deaths of citizens in Oting, Mon district, is strongly condemned. Condolences to the lost families and best wishes to those injured for a swift recovery “The chief minister tweeted about it.

He stated that the high-level Special Probe Team (SIT) will conduct the investigation and that justice will be served in accordance with the law.
