Wagle to brief media on FY 2083/84 budget today
KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle is set to interact with journalists today through a press conference focused on the federal budget for the fiscal year 2083/84.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the briefing will be held this afternoon at Suvarna Hall in Singha Durbar, where the government will elaborate on various aspects of the recently announced budget.
Minister’s press coordinator, Naveen Dhungana, stated that the session will include detailed discussions and clarifications on key budget provisions and implementation strategies.
Earlier on Friday, Finance Minister Wagle presented a national budget worth Rs 21.24 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year.
The budget allocates Rs 12.70 trillion (59.8%) for recurrent expenditure, Rs 4.31 trillion (20.3%) for capital expenditure, and Rs 4.22 trillion (19.9%) for financial management.
The government is expected to further clarify its priorities, sectoral allocations, and execution framework during today’s interaction, addressing questions from journalists and outlining how the budget will be implemented effectively in the coming fiscal year.
