Passenger bus plunges into Tamakoshi River, 5 dead, 3 injured
Police confirmed that the driver and four passengers were found dead at the site.
KATHMANDU: At least five people have died and three others were injured after a passenger bus plunged into the Tamakoshi River near Lilauti, Triveni area of Manthali Municipality-6 in Ramechhap.
The bus, operated by Araniko Transport and bearing registration number 1975, was traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga when it went off the road and fell into the river.
Police confirmed that the driver and four passengers were found dead at the site.
Rescue operations are ongoing with the support of local residents, security personnel, and emergency teams.
Three injured individuals have been rescued and sent for medical treatment.
Authorities are still attempting to recover other passengers from the submerged bus.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
