NEPSE index dips 1.64 points; turnover reaches Rs 3.19 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 1.64 points to close at 2,711.22 on Wednesday.

In today’s trading, banking rose 0.16%, finance 0.19%, hotels and tourism 0.22%, investment 0.40%, microfinance 0.48%, mutual funds 0.80%, non-life insurance 0.19%, and other groups 0.03%.
However, all other major sectors ended in negative territory.
Development banks fell 0.51%, hydropower 0.43%, life insurance 0.32%, and manufacturing and processing 0.56%.
Forward Microfinance Laghubitta recorded the highest gain of 13.74%, while Bhagwati Hydropower Development Company suffered the steepest loss, declining 8.90%.
