Majority of UML committees conclude conventions

Around 6,000 ward-level conventions have already taken place, with only 10 local committees remaining.

KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML), has successfully concluded its conventions across all provinces and districts, according to Dr. Bijay Subba, Chief of the UML Election Commission.

Dr. Subba stated that 98% of local committee conventions, 90% of ward-level conventions, and 50% of tole (neighborhood) conventions have been completed as per the party’s timeline.

Around 6,000 ward-level conventions have already taken place, with only 10 local committees remaining.

Efforts are underway to conclude the remaining 98 committee conventions before the party’s upcoming Statute Congress, scheduled for Bhadra 20–22.

Out of the UML’s 23 affiliated organizations, 16 have already completed their general conventions, further strengthening internal party structure ahead of the major gathering.
