‘Jaari 2: Song of Chyabrung’ announces release date with 3 striking posters

KATHMANDU: The much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Nepali film Jaari has officially unveiled its release date along with three captivating posters.
Directed by renowned poet-turned-filmmaker Upendra Subba, Jaari 2: Song of Chyabrung is slated to hit cinemas on Ashoj 3.
Among the three newly released posters, the first features the film’s ensemble cast, while the other two focus on lead actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar.

These character-focused posters depict both stars in joyful moods — Dayahang is seen playing the traditional Chyabrung drum with lively energy, and Miruna appears radiant in traditional Limbu attire.
In another poster, the duo poses with cheerful expressions, hinting at a vibrant and culturally rich narrative.
The group poster also includes prominent actors Buddhi Tamang and Bijay Baral, alongside a young girl and Miruna leading a scene where Dayahang, carrying a load with a walking stick, is accompanied by porters — all set against a scenic backdrop that reflects ethnic depth and emotion.
The visual storytelling in these posters strongly suggests that Jaari 2 centers around the Limbu community and its deeply rooted cultural symbol — the Chyabrung drum — promising a narrative embedded in tradition and rhythm.

Produced under the banners of Bansuri Films and Kabaddi Films, the film brings back celebrated names such as Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, and introduces a robust supporting cast including Richa Sharma, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Maotse Gurung, Manahang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Bedana Rai, and Sirjana Ninglekhu.
Jaari, the prequel released in 2080 BS was a massive box office hit, grossing over Rs 170 million and establishing itself as one of the highest-grossing Nepali films of the year.
Following its success, Jaari 2 has quickly become one of the most awaited films, with high commercial expectations and critical anticipation.
