KATHMANDU: An Israeli airstrike has struck a mosque in Sohmor town in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, as cross-border violence between Israel and Hezbollah intensifies.

The attack caused extensive damage to the mosque and surrounding areas.

Footage from the scene shows significant destruction inside the building, with debris scattered across the floor, shattered glass, and visible signs indicating possible casualties.

The incident comes amid ongoing shelling and rising tensions along the Lebanon–Israel border.

According to Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center, at least 1,422 people have been killed and 4,294 injured since March 2 in the escalating violence.
