IME Life Insurance upgraded to ‘CARE–NP A–’ in issuer rating

KATHMANDU: IME Life Insurance Company Limited has achieved a significant milestone in its issuer rating, following an upgrade by CARE Ratings Nepal Limited.
The credit rating agency has revised the company’s rating from CARE–NP BBB+ to CARE–NP A–, reflecting a stronger financial position and improved creditworthiness.
According to CARE Ratings Nepal, the CARE–NP A– rating indicates that IME Life Insurance has an adequate capacity to meet its financial obligations in a timely manner and is considered a strong and credible institution within the insurance sector.
The company’s management stated that the upgrade reflects the trust, cooperation, and commitment of all stakeholders. It further reaffirmed its focus on strengthening customer service, corporate governance, innovation, and long-term financial stability in the coming years.
