KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Urban Development has urged citizens who were left out of the relocation process from high-risk settlements along the Bagmati River and its tributaries in Kathmandu to come forward without delay.

The ministry has requested individuals in need of assistance, including those currently stranded on the streets, to register at the designated primary registration center at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.

According to a press statement issued by the ministry, arrangements have been made to systematically manage genuine landless citizens through digital data collection and temporary holding centers. Basic services such as housing, food, healthcare, education for children, and psychosocial counseling will be provided.

The ministry has also appealed to economically vulnerable and genuinely landless citizens to visit the registration center and access government-provided services.

It further reaffirmed the government’s full commitment to ensuring safe, organized, and long-term rehabilitation of affected citizens.
