Gen Z protests: President’s residence set ablaze

KATHMANDU: As the Gen Z-led protests intensify across the country, the nation’s highest executive office has come under direct attack.

Protesters set fire to the President’s official residence, Sheetal Niwas, in Maharajganj, Kathmandu.

According to security sources, a group of demonstrators attempted to enter the western gate of the presidential residence before starting the fire.

A large contingent of security personnel has been deployed at the scene to contain the situation.
