KATHMANDU: DGO, the official digital broadcasting partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Nepal, has introduced a new “mobile-only” viewing pass for football fans ahead of the tournament kickoff.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the company announced that the pass has been priced at Rs 549, inclusive of taxes.

With the World Cup just days away, DGO said the new package is designed specifically for Nepali viewers who prefer to watch matches on mobile devices.

According to the company, users will be able to stream all 104 World Cup matches live via the DGO app, with commentary available in both Nepali and English.

The mobile-only pass also supports full HD (1080p) streaming quality, ensuring a high-definition viewing experience.

DGO further stated that the pass can be activated within a few clicks inside the app, making it simple and user-friendly for subscribers.

The company has also cautioned users against unauthorized streaming links and fake platforms, warning that such sources may put personal and banking information at risk. It urged viewers to rely only on the official DGO app for live World Cup coverage.

In Nepal, World Cup matches will also be broadcast on Himalayan Sports TV channel. Due to FIFA’s exclusive broadcasting rights arrangement, foreign TV channels and streaming platforms are not permitted to broadcast the tournament within Nepal.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to begin late Thursday night. The opening match will feature co-host Mexico against South Africa, kicking off at 12:45 AM Nepal time.
