KATHMANDU: As preparations intensify for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, the Nepali Congress has finalized the names of 81 candidates.

With the election date approaching, the party has selected its key contenders to compete in major constituencies across the country.

The published list includes senior party leaders, former ministers, and several influential young faces.

However, the biggest surprise has been the absence of former party president and ex-prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, whose name does not appear on the final list.
