KATHMANDU: CG Foods Nepal has launched “Wai Wai Classic” to celebrate 40 years of its iconic Wai Wai noodles, introducing a refreshed version of the beloved product under the slogan, “Same Taste, Same Memory.”

Priced at Rs 30 for a 75-gram pack, Wai Wai Classic aims to preserve the original taste while offering a more refined experience for consumers.

The company stated that the product includes dehydrated vegetables and chili flakes to deliver a more balanced and enhanced flavor profile.

Wai Wai has long been deeply connected with Nepali consumers, becoming a staple in everyday life—from school tiffin boxes to late-night snacks, and from hostels to household kitchens, spanning across generations.

According to CG Foods Business Head Upendra Pradhan, Wai Wai has always been an integral part of Nepali households.

He said Wai Wai Classic has been introduced to reconnect consumers with their nostalgic experiences and emotional attachment to the brand.

The company expressed confidence that the new variant will revive cherished memories and enjoyable moments associated with Wai Wai.

Holding more than 60 percent of the domestic market, Wai Wai has also established a strong global presence, capturing around 4 percent of the international instant noodle market.

With annual growth of nearly 20 percent in overseas markets, the brand continues to demonstrate that Nepali products can compete successfully on the global stage.
