Rainfall hits valley & other parts of the country
There is also a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

KATHMANDU: Rainfall has been recorded in Kathmandu Valley and several other regions across the country.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rainfall is currently occurring in most areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
Meteorologist Min Kumar Aryal stated that the ongoing rainfall is due to the influence of westerly winds combined with active local winds. “This weather system is expected to persist for around two more hours.
There is no likelihood of heavy rainfall,” he said. “However, weather conditions will likely remain generally cloudy with light to moderate rainfall until Thursday.”
The Division further forecasted that by Wednesday morning, there is a chance of thunder and lightning accompanied by light to moderate rainfall in a few hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with isolated showers in other regions.
There is also a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
The Division has cautioned that due to thunderstorms, lightning, rainfall, and snowfall, daily life—along with agriculture, health, roadways, and air travel—could be affected.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions and remain alert to minimize potential impacts.
