Two teenagers injured in stabbing incident

KATHMANDU: Two teenagers were injured in a stabbing incident that took place near the Bihibare Haat area of Dhankuta Municipality-5 late Monday night.
According to police, 17-year-old locals Ayush Rai and Kushal Rai were attacked with a sharp weapon around 11:30 PM.
Kushal sustained injuries to his head and back, while Ayush was wounded on his neck and left arm.
Kushal was initially treated at the District Hospital but has since been referred to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for further treatment.
Ayush is currently receiving medical care at the District Hospital.
Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the attack.
The suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Rusuk Newa Khadgi of Nashal Chowk, Dhankuta-6, and 18-year-old Lajihang Limbu of Dhankuta-7.
Khadgi was apprehended from Nashal Chowk, while Limbu was arrested near the Shiva Temple, according to authorities.
Both suspects are currently in custody at the District Police Office, and legal proceedings are underway, police added.
