KATHMANDU: An emergency meeting has been convened at the Ministry of Home Affairs after the royalist group’s protest turned violent.

On Friday, the royalist group engaged in unruly demonstrations, vandalism, and arson, prompting a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs, attended by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, the Home Secretary, and security forces.

A member of the Home Minister’s Secretariat informed that the meeting is currently ongoing to review the situation and make decisions regarding the next steps.

He further mentioned that discussions are taking place on how to proceed in the coming days, as well as the plans for tomorrow, as reported by Makalu Khabar.
