KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, the declared commander of the royalists movement, has fled the Tinkune area after protesters began causing chaos, including arson, vandalism, and looting.

As tensions rose in the area, the local administration announced a curfew, prompting Prasai to leave the region.

The district administration office had issued a curfew order for the areas of Tinkune, Baneshwor, and Koteshwor, and it was during this time that Prasai was seen leaving the area in a private vehicle.

Before fleeing, Prasai was reportedly inside a house, inciting the protesters from behind a shuttered house.
