KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed that the country is experiencing partial influence from western winds as well as local winds.
In areas like Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as the hilly regions of the country, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to generally cloudy, while the remaining regions will see mostly clear skies.
According to the meteorological office, today (Friday) afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Madhesh provinces, and other parts of the country.
The remaining areas will remain mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rainfall with thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places of the remaining hilly regions. Additionally, there is a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the higher hilly and Himalayan regions.
Similarly, tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi and other parts of the country, with partial cloud cover in other regions.
There is a likelihood of light rainfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places of the hilly regions of other provinces.
There is also a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the higher hilly and Himalayan regions.
In the next 24 hours, light rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places of the hilly regions in other provinces.
The meteorological office has urged the public to remain cautious as this may have partial impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, roads, and air travel.
