25 injured in Ilam pickup accident

KATHMANDU: A pickup truck accident in Mai Municipality-1 on Thursday afternoon left 25 people injured.

The vehicle, bearing registration number Province 1-02-002 Ch 4192, was travelling from Mahamai to Danabari for a Nepal Magar Association program when it met with the accident.

According to local resident Bimal Dahal, 24 injured individuals were given first aid at Mai Hospital before being transferred to B&C Hospital in Birtamode, Jhapa, for further treatment.

One person is still receiving treatment at Mai Hospital.

Eight of the injured are in critical condition.
