13 injured in Surkhet jeep accident

KATHMANDU: A jeep traveling from Dailekh to Surkhet met with an accident, leaving 13 people injured, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Surkhet.

The vehicle, registered as Karnali Province 02001 Kh 0491, veered off the road and fell 15 meters down at Ghodalote, about a kilometer west of Bangesim in Birendranagar-2, police inspector Bakil Sunar confirmed.

Among the 16 passengers on board, 13 sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Surkhet.
