Real Madrid held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna, failing to maintain top spot in La Liga

KATHMANDU: Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna on Saturday, failing to extend their lead at the top of La Liga.

The match, played at Osasuna’s home ground, saw Kylian Mbappé score for Real Madrid, while Ante Budimir netted the equalizer for the hosts.

Mbappé put Real Madrid ahead in the 15th minute, but in the 39th minute, Jude Bellingham received a red card after using foul language toward the referee, reducing Real to 10 men.

In the 58th minute, Budimir converted a penalty to level the score, securing a point for Osasuna.

Real Madrid remain in first place with 51 points from 24 matches, while Osasuna sits in seventh place with 32 points from the same number of games.
