Pathibhara sees third snowfall of the season

KATHMANDU: The Pathibhara area experienced snowfall accompanied by light rain last night.

According to Rajendra Mahat, an employee at the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, this marks the third snowfall of the season, with previous occurrences in December and January.

The snowfall has led to a drop in temperature at the revered site, which sits at an altitude of 3,794 meters.

Executive Director of the committee, Prajin Hangbang, stated that tourist numbers typically rise following snowfall each year.

Meanwhile, locals, who had been concerned about the lack of rainfall this winter affecting crop growth, expressed relief as the snowfall is expected to aid agricultural conditions.
