MoHP launches ‘Hello Health’ service to address public complaints

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has launched the ‘Hello Health’ service to address complaints related to healthcare services.
The ministry announced that complaints related to health services can be submitted through telephone, WhatsApp, Viber, email, and even by post.
Individuals can call the telephone number ‘1115’, or send messages via WhatsApp and Viber to the number ‘9851330592’. Complaints can also be sent via email to ‘[email protected]’.
Health and Population Minister Pradeep Poudel stated that the initiative was established following a ministerial decision to create a unit aimed at addressing public complaints regarding health services.
The unit was formed under the coordination of Dr. Anup Bastola, the chief consultant of Tropical Medicine at the Ministry, on Nov 29.
The unit also includes Information Officer Dr. Bhakta Bahadur KC, Information Technology Director Ramesh Raj Subedi, and Branch Officer Gauri Prasad Acharya as members.
Previously, complaints and service-related information were handled through the hotline at the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division in Teku, with additional channels added to facilitate the process, according to Ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki.
