Movie ‘Bam Bahadur’ premieres in Darjeeling before Nepal-India release

KATHMANDU: The Nepali film ‘Bam Bahadur’ successfully held its premiere in Darjeeling, India, ahead of its simultaneous release on Poush 5 (Dec 20) in both Nepal and India.
Produced by Sanjeev Sarki and directed by John Rai, the film received widespread acclaim from Darjeeling audiences.
The premiere event was organized by Okhli Dhiki Productions at the Gorkha Rangamanch Bhawan. The cast and crew were honored for their dedication and hard work in bringing the film to life.
Due to prior commitments in other film shoots, lead actor Saugat Malla was unable to attend the premiere.
However, actors Anisha Rasaily, Ajay Pradhan, Shantila Tamang, child actor Basista Karki, Prabhat Pakhrin, Badal Chhetri, and others were present at the event.
‘Bam Bahadur’ is a poignant and historically significant film that portrays the struggles faced by the Indian Nepali community, particularly those residing in Darjeeling and the neighboring Dooars region.
