Bhutanese King Wangchuck arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck arrived in Kathmandu this morning for an informal visit.

He was welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) by Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba.

During his visit, King Wangchuck is scheduled to visit Swayambhunath and Bouddhanath.

He arrived in Kathmandu while returning to Bhutan from India.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the King is expected to return to Bhutan later today.
