KATHMANDU: In the opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) that began on Saturday, Janakpur lost their second opener, Anil Shah, after losing the first opener, Aasif Sheikh.

Shah, also the team captain, was bowled out for 5 runs off 4 balls on the last delivery of the second over by Pratis Jishi.

Earlier, in the fourth ball of the first over, Aasif was dismissed for a duck, bowled by Chris Sole of Biratnagar.

As of now, Janakpur has scored 106 runs with the loss of 2 wickets in 13.2 overs.

Prior to this, Biratnagar, who lost the toss and were invited to bat, were bowled out for 127 runs in 19 overs.
