Janakpur Bolts strike early, take first wicket in NPL opener

KATHMANDU: Janakpur Bolts have made a strong start in the opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) by taking the first wicket against Biratnagar Kings.

The early breakthrough came as the bowlers capitalized on the favorable conditions at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Biratnagar, led by Sandeep Lamichhane, now faces pressure to stabilize their innings against a disciplined Janakpur attack.

Janakpur won the toss and opted to field, putting Biratnagar to bat.

Biratnagar lost their first wicket in the second over, having scored just 6 runs.

The Bolts, under the leadership of Anil Shah, are looking to build on this momentum as they aim for a commanding performance in the tournament opener.
