Durga Prasai remanded for 5 more days

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has granted permission to keep medical professional Durga Prasai in custody for an additional five days for further investigation.

The court approved the police’s request to extend his detention today.

Prasai was arrested on Nov 19 from his residence in Bhaktapur after releasing a video claiming that Prime Minister KP Oli had investments in Cambodia, along with supporting documents.

This is the second time Prasai has been arrested in two months. Previously, he was detained on Sept 22 under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063.
