RSP supporters protest in Kathmandu demanding release of Rabi Lamichhane (photos)

KATHMANDU: Supporters of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane staged a protest in Kathmandu demanding his release.

On Friday afternoon, RSP activists and Lamichhane’s supporters gathered at Maitighar, raising slogans and holding placards that read, “Release Rabi” and “Stop political vengeance.”

Lamichhane, who was arrested on charges of embezzling cooperative funds, has been brought to Kathmandu for investigation.

Currently, his statement is being recorded at the office of the government attorney in Kathmandu.
