LUMBINI: The flood affected families of Lumbini State have been moved to safer zone.

A total of 109 people were shifted to safer zones in the State.

According to the Disaster Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the disaster department of the provincial government has moved the flood victims of West Nawalparasi, Palpa, Rupandehi, Gulmi and Rolpa to safe places.

Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya said that all three security agencies, THE Red Cross, volunteers and general public will be involved in the effective implementation of the disaster response plan.

The implementation of the disaster response plan has been facilitated by the cooperation between Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army and other communities.

With the facilitation of the province government, the security agencies and the local government have also taken forward the work of relief and rehabilitation for the needy ones.

Gangadhar Pandey, information officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, informed that the people affected by the landslide have been moved to safer area and the rehabilitation work is progressing in various places in the State.
