Child dies of lightning strike

KATHMANDU: An 11-year-old Sophian Alam Mia, son of Hamid Alam, resident of Morang, Sunabarshi Municipality-9 Muslim Tole, died on Sunday afternoon after being struck by lightning.

He was seriously injured by lightning while playing under a tree behind his house and died during treatment at Rangeli Hospital.
