Newly appointed State Chiefs took oath

KATHMANDU: The newly appointed State Chiefs have sworn in before President Ramchandra Paudel.

Deepak Prasad Devkota, Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar and Yagyaraj Joshi took oath in accordance with Article 137 of the Constitution of Nepal in a program held at Rashtrapati Bhawan Sheetal Niwas on Thursday.

Devkota has been appointed as the State Chiefs of Bagmati, Ghartimagar for Lumbini, and Joshi for Karnali.

The Council of Ministers recommended their appointments in a meeting held on Monday, and President Paudel officially appointed them to their respective positions on Wednesday.

After the government recommended the removal of Bagmati State Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma, Lumbini State Chief Amik Sherchan, and Karnali State Chief Tilak Pariyar, President Paudel dismissed them from their positions.
