One held on charges of extortion

KATHMANDU: Police arrested 40-year-old Prakash Khawas, a resident of Sonahphant, Geruwa Rural Municipality-6, on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl on Monday afternoon.

Based on the complaint that Khawas raped the girl on the night of Kartik 28 (Nov 14) in an empty shed at the same place on different dates and places, the police stationed from Manaon police station arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
