World Cup Final: India sets 241-run target for Australia
Despite scoring 80 runs in the first ten overs, India struggled after the third wicket fell.

KATHMANDU: India has set a target of 241 runs to win the ICC World Cup 2023 final against Australia.
India were all out for 240 runs in the scheduled 50 overs after losing the toss at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Lokesh Rahul of India led the way with 66 runs in 107 balls and one four. Virat Kohli scored 53 runs off 63 balls, including four fours.
Captain Rohit Sharma scored 47 runs off 31 balls, including four fours and three sixes. None of the other batters could have done any better.

Shubman Gill was caught out by Adam Zampa at mid-on for 4 runs in the second ball of Mitchell Starc’s fourth over.
Glenn Maxwell dismissed Rohit Sharma for 47 runs in the fourth ball of the tenth over. After Travis Head made a good catch at cover, Rohit returned to the pavilion.
Following that, none of the Indian batters could perform well. After 97 balls, India hit another boundary after 10 overs.
Shreyas Air was caught by the Englishman for 4 runs after being edged by Pat Cummins in the second ball of the tenth over.
For the fourth wicket, he scored 67 runs off 199 balls.
Kohli was dismissed for 54 runs in the third ball of Pat Cummins’ 29th over. With Kohli out, the possibility of a big total was over.
Rabindra Jadeja was caught out after scoring 9 runs in 22 balls. Surya Kumar Yadav was dismissed for 18 runs off 28 balls with 1 boundary.
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc took 3 wickets with 55 runs in 10 overs. Captain Pat Cummins took 2 wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs.
Adam Zampa took 1 wicket for 44 runs in 10 overs. Glenn Maxwell took 1 wicket for 35 runs in 6 overs. Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets for 60 runs in 10 overs.
