Anand Shah, who died in a Hamas attack cremated in Sapahi
A Nepal Army plane carried his remains to Janakpurdham airport at 4:30 on a Saturday.

KATHMANDU: The body of Anand Sah, a resident of Dhanusha Laxminiya Rural Municipality-4, who tragically lost his life in an attack by the Hamas extremist group in Israel, has been repatriated to his ancestral home.
His body was taken to Janakpur 27 days after he died in a Hamas attack.
A Nepal Army plane carried his remains to Janakpurdham airport at 4:30 on a Saturday.
Subsequently, the Nepali Army team took Anand’s body to Sapahi. The entire village was filled with emotions as Anand’s body arrived. He was laid to rest in a cremation ceremony on the same Saturday. Anand’s cousin, Bechan Shah, conducted the cremation rites.
Anand Sah met a tragic end during an attack by the Hamas extremist group in Israel on Ashoj 21 (Oct 8).
He had completed his SEE from Angels Boarding School in Janakpurdham and pursued a B.Sc in Agriculture on a full scholarship.
Anand was one of 50 Nepali students from Far West Agricultural University who were sent to Israel for a 10-month training program to enhance their proficiency in agriculture.
