34- page passport application now open to ordinary citizens

KATHMANDU: Ordinary citizens can now apply for a 34-page passport.

The passport office said on Sunday that applications for 34-page passports can be submitted beginning today.

Previously, only a 66-page passport could be obtained through the department.

Last Ashar, once the 34-page passport ran out, the department issued the same passport again, charging Rs 5,000 for the 66-page passport.

The 66-page passport is now complete. For the time being, the agency will only issue 34-page passports.

Those who applied by Sunday will get a 66-page passport as well.
