KATHMANDU: Shahid’s Smarak ‘A’ Division League football tournament concluded on Saturday.

The league concluded on Saturday with a match between Jawalakhel Youth Club and Three Star Club at Tripureshwor’s Dasharath Stadium.

Three Star Club defeated Jawalakhel Youth Club 1-0 in the league’s last double-round-robin match.

Church Boys United won the league championship this season. Church Boys won the league title in their first season.

Similarly, FC Khumaltar and the departmental squad APF club have been relegated to the ‘B’ division.

Who got how much?

Along with the league win, the Church Boys got a cash prize of 7.5 million.

Machhindra Football Club, which finished second, received 5 million rupees.

Nepal Police Club finished third and received 2.5 million rupees.

Fair play Nepal Police Club has been awarded 3 lakh rupees.

Similarly, as the Most Valuable Player, Ananta Tamang, the captain of Church Boys United Club, received 3 lakh rupees.

Afeez Olawa of Machindra Football Club received 2 lakhs as the highest scorer.

Preso of the Church Boys received 2 lakhs for being the best goalie.

Laken Limbu of Three Star Club was named a rising player and awarded 150,000 in prize money.
