Kidney transplants to be done from hospitals under all centers

KATHMANDU: Kidney transplant services will be available from all the hospitals under the central authority.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said this while presenting the 2080/81 budget.

Similarly, the government has continued to provide 5,000 per month for medical expenses to cancer, kidney transplant, dialysis, and paralyzed patients.

The government has said that Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Disease Teku Hospital will be expanded to 300 beds.

46 crores have been allocated for this.

Similarly, Minister Mahat informed that the Provincial Communicable Disease Hospitals being built in Pokhara, Surkhet, Bharatpur and Doti will be completed and put into operation next year.
