KATHMANDU: The government’s annual policy and program for fiscal year 2080/081 has been approved.
The policy and program proposed by President Ram Chandra Poudel at the joint meeting on Jestha 5 (May 19) was approved on Saturday.

Some legislators recommended changing the policies and services. However, such recommendations were rejected.

The policy and program have already been approved by the National Assembly. After both Houses have approved the strategy and program, the path to presenting the budget to the government is clear.
The budget will be presented to both chambers of Parliament on Jestha 15 (May 29) at 4 p.m. The next meeting has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
