KATHMANDU: The budget session of Gandaki State Assembly is starting from today. State Chief Prithviman Gurung has called the session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

Today, the government will present the principles and priorities of the budget for the next fiscal year to the parliament.

Finance Minister Jeet Prakash will inform the Parliament about the areas that should be prioritized in the next year’s budget. Then the proposal will be discussed. There is a mandatory provision that all state governments must present their budgets on Ashar 1 (June 16).

Due to the economic recession and various reasons, it is estimated that the next year’s budget will decrease. In the current year, Gandaki announced a budget of 35.90 billion. But the union government has reduced the subsidy.
