A Division: Army defeats Jawalakhel

KATHMANDU: The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club won its third game in the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League Football.
Army won their third game of the season on Tuesday, defeating Jawalakhel Youth Club 3-1 at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Army won thanks to goals from Gillespye Jung Karki, Nawayug Shrestha, and Sudil Rai.
Jawalakhel’s Sunil Khadka scored a goal. Army took an early lead thanks to Gillespie’s goal in the 17th minute. Nawayug scored in the 55th minute to put Army up 2-0. Sunil scored in the 62nd minute of the game, giving Jawalakhel a 2-1 lead.
Then, in the 80th minute, Sudil scored to give Army a 3-1 victory.
Army now has 12 points in eight games. Army has risen to sixth place.
Javalakhel has 14 points in eight games. Jawalakhel holds on to second place.
